The festival is located near the little town of Rutledge, GA.  You will find Rutledge a very special place to visit before or after the festival.  Rutledge is noted for it's many varied restaurants, antique and gift shops.  It is also the home of Hard Labor Creek State Park which boasts a great golf course, and offers boating, fishing, and camping.

The Town that Sherman Refused to Burn Madison GA.

During the Civil War, Sherman's Army spared Madison's destruction because it was the home of Joshua Hill, a pro-Union Senator and close friend of Sherman. This beautiful town has dozens of antebellum homes and other public buildings which are often open for tours.

Social Circle is just 10 miles from Rutledge, and is the home of the famous Blue Willow Inn. This is also a terrific spot for locating treasures of the past in one of their many antique shops.
